Commercial Vacuum Cleaners

The difference between commercial vacuum cleaners and regular vacuums is that commercial machines are meant for a very high amount of usage. A commercial vacuum that is used in a school or for a cleaning service needs to be able to operate at a minimum of 10 - 15 hours per week. The average household vacuum get's used about 1 hour per week. So it must have a very thick cord, heavy plastic or metal bottom plates, and bypass motor system. Commercial vacuums are great for household use as well, the only downside being that machines meant for commercial use don't tend to have as long a warranty as other machines. This is mainly because there is no way of telling how much abuse a machine might go through in a commercial environment so manufacturers can't really estimate any type of accurate life span. Currently, there are a few commercial vacuum cleaners that we see as standing out among the rest to be heavy duty, heavy cleaning, and reasonably priced. Many of them are from the company Sanitaire. Sanitaire is a commercial line made by Eureka but unlike most Eureka models that you'll find at the 'big box' stores like Target and Walmart, these are made to last. Another frequent recommendation that we make is for a machine made by Carpet Pro. At $199, it's very hard to match the durability and overall power. The Carpet Pro compares very well to the Simplicity 6000 series in features and power and is substantially lower in price.
