Good Vacuums for Heavy Carpet

When vacuuming on carpet, it is the brush roller that does the majority of the work. Suction and CFM (speed of the air moving through the machine) are more important when dealing with bare floors. Another important aspect of a vacuum that's mainly for carpets is the fact that in the future it's nice to have the option of replacing the brush roller to maintain the machines effectiveness. In today's world of 'throw away' products it is becoming less and less likely that appliance parts will be available when you need them, so you should go with a manufacturer that continually builds quality products that can be fixed if they happen to break.
