Good Vacuums for Heavy Carpet

When vacuuming on carpet, it is the brush roller that does the majority of the work. Suction and CFM (speed of the air moving through the machine) are more important when dealing with bare floors. Some of the nicer machines such as the Sebo X series adjust electronically to the perfect height for every surface, while others have settings you can manually switch as you go from room to room. Another important aspect of a vacuum that's mainly for carpets is the fact that in the future it's nice to have the option of replacing the brush roller to maintain the machines effectiveness. In today's world of 'throw away' products it is becoming less and less likely that appliance parts will be available when you need them, so you should go with a manufacturer that continually builds quality products that can be fixed if they happen to break. Vacuum cleaners are some of the most abused appliances in your home, and at the frontline is a brush moving at extremely high speeds through your carpet, encountering all the things that you don't want in your house anymore.
